The turquoise-glazed vase of slender shape with high shoulder and a short cylindrical neck, the elaborate gilt bronze mount consisting of a circular stand with cabriole legs and casted floral motifs, two dragon-shaped handles rising from the mid section of the vase to the gilt bronze rim of the mouth.

This vase is probably the one described as “Vase chine bleu turquoise, bronze doré” in a receipt (n. 5) in the museum’s archive dated to february 1867 from Willems, Paris.
