A similar vase – with the decoration of ‘bird and flowers, landscapes and fantastic animals arranged in parallel panels – is in the Fitzwilliam Museum, Cambridge (inv. n. C.672 & A-1991); see also the comparable vase and cover in the Burghley House collection (G. Lang, The Wrestling Boys. An exhibition of Chinese and Japanese ceramics from the 16th to the 18th century in the collection at Burghley House, exhibition catalogue, Stamford 1983, p. 85, n. 216) and the example in the Porzellansammlung, Dresden, formerly in the collection of Augustus the Strong (1670-1733) (inv. n.
