A ‘FAMILLE VERTE’ ROULEAU BALUSTER VASE

The body of the vase is decorated with a ground with a thick meander with large stylized lotus flower heads, the upper section with four square panels painted with object of the ‘Hundred Antiquities’ (bogu), floral sprays and landscape with figures, the lower section with four leaf shaped cartouches with similar scenes, the neck with two square panels with ‘bird and flowers’ compositions, the ribbed mouth with a band of spirals.
The enamels are those typical of the ‘Famille Verte’ palette, including different shades of green, red, yellow, aubergine, blue and black.
