Hexagonal section, the pyriform body with a long curved spout and an ear-shaped handle, the domed cover with a bud finial, the decoration to the body consisting of two ogivated cartouches with flowers reserved on a geometric ground of hexagonal cells.
The Duca di Martina Museum in Villa La Floridiana in Naples houses a wonderful collection of Chinese Art.
Created by Placido de Sangro (1829-1891) in the second half of the nineteenth century, it is certainly one of the most important in Italy and Europe, with outstanding examples of porcelain, cloisonné, bronzes and carvings, dating from Yuan to Qing dynasties.
