A dish in the British Museum shows a central scene very similar to the one on this piece, surrounded by a different band which is instead very similar to the band on the dish at the the following entry (L. Vinhais – J. Welsh (edited by), China of All Colours. Painted Enamels on Copper, London 2015, p. 30, fig. 8: the authors use this porcelain item as a comparison for painted enamels on copper dishes dating to 1730-1750, pp. 56-61, nn. 1-2, with a very similar decoration).
Other comparable examples are in the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam (C.J.A. Jörg, in collaboration with J. Van Campen, Chinese Ceramics in the Collection of the Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam. The Ming and Qing Dynasties, London 1997, p. 216, n. 241), in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York (inv. 79.2.582) and in the Brooklyn Museum, New York (inv. 32.1089).
