The deep interior of the basin with a lakeside landscape with rocks, mountains, trees and a fortified village with a turret and pavillions, the scene painted with overglaze polychrome enamels, the lobed rim with a gilt scroll of lotus flowers.
The Duca di Martina Museum in Villa La Floridiana in Naples houses a wonderful collection of Chinese Art.
Created by Placido de Sangro (1829-1891) in the second half of the nineteenth century, it is certainly one of the most important in Italy and Europe, with outstanding examples of porcelain, cloisonné, bronzes and carvings, dating from Yuan to Qing dynasties.
