Qing dynasty, Kangi period, early 18th century
45,3 cm high
Provenance: Naples, Villa della Floridiana, Museo Duca di Martina, Placido de Sangro (1829-1891) collection.

Standing on a splayed circular foot, the pear-shaped body rising to a tall cylindrical neck with flared rim, the decoration consisting of large lobed reserves with compositions of flowers and rocks, a series of garlands along the perimeter of all the cartouches.

The shape and the style of decoration of this vase – explicitly made to be exported to Holland – are inspired by late seventeenth century Delftware.
